2019 Spring Fling Shopping Sprees

On Saturday, May 11, 2019, the Broadway Mall Target in Hicksville, NY hosted a Spring Fling Shopping Spree for children from the Deasy School.  After the children ate breakfast and colored, each of them were given $60. to shop for summer clothes and accessories in the Target store, accompanied by volunteers.  Meryl Gordon was the coordinator of this event and most of the volunteers were her colleagues from the Deasy School.

Thank you to Meryl and all of the fabulous volunteers who once again ran a successful event.  Your dedication to this very worthy cause is amazing and all of us are so very grateful.

Children in need from local schools, aged 4 through 8, attended Spring Fling Shopping Sprees on April 28th at the Milltown, NJ Target store and on May 5th at the Manalapan Target store.  Each child was given $60. to purchase new clothes, shoes and accessories at Target, accompanied by a volunteer.  Target provided breakfast and snacks and the children became acquainted with the volunteers while coloring before the spree.

THANKS to all of our awesome volunteers and coordinators, Hollie Cerame and volunteers from East Brunswick at the Milltown spree and Laurie Kaminsky and M&T Bank volunteers at the Manalapan event.  Shout out to Rocco Tomazic, Freehold Boro Superintendent, and his school volunteers as well as Gisela Ciancia, Vice-Principal at the Roosevelt School in New Brunswick. Thank you to Jenny Gates and Aida Cuevas from the Livingston School in New Brunswick for coordinating the students from their school.

The Target teams in both stores were AMAZING, as usual, and we are so grateful to all of them.
